Nutty Spiced Porridge

Make this warming gluten free porridge with dairy free almond milk. Cinnamon is great to start the day with. Try not to use table sugar as it will make the blood sugar spike, use low GI substitutes.
Preparation
Cover the oats with almond milk and cook over a gentle heat for 5 minutes or until soft.
Serve with a generous helping of spices and nuts and top with a drizzle of agave syrup or maple syrup.
Tip:
Oats are naturally free from gluten, but may contain traces of gluten due to cross-contamination. If you are highly sensitive to gluten you might want to opt for porridge oats which state 'gluten free'.
