Mackerel & Sauerkraut Burgers
Seasonal Dairy free, Egg free recipe
This is a simple recipe for your 'fish day'!
Preparation
Slice open the burger rolls, heat a little oil and fry the open sides until browned. Alternatively, you can put the halves in a toaster.
Wash the orange and grate off some orange rind (without the white bit). Mix together the orange rind, mayonnaise and caraway seeds. Peel and slice the rest of the orange.
Take off the skin of the smoked mackerel and flake while checking for any rogue bones.
Drain the sauerkraut.
Spread the mayonnaise on the rolls, divide the sauerkraut onto the rolls, add the mackerel and top with the orange slices.
As simple as that!
Tip: use vegan mayonnaise if you don't tolerate eggs or dairy!

- 250 g sauerkraut
- 3 tbsp (egg free) mayonnaise
