Khorasan flour, or kamut flour, was originally grown by the pharaohs in Egypt. This ancient type of wheat, triticum turgidum, is naturally high in proteins and minerals such as selenium.
Mild in flavour, pale in colour, khorasan (kamut flour) is a stoneground ancient grain flour which has a subtle buttery taste and makes great bread and pasta. It can be used in bread machines or as a hand bake.
Khorasan is an ancient grain which can be traced back to the Fertile Crescent and legends exist of it being found in Egyptian tombs.
