Crispy fried onions are a savoury seasoning, which gives your bami or fried rice a crunchy twist! In addition, it is very tasty on salads, (vegan) burgers and soup.
Fried onions are an Indonesian topping which is also very popular in the Netherlands. It is made from fresh onions which are layered in dough (made from wheat flour) and then fried in vegetable oil. That ensures the crispy bite! Tip; Sprinkle them over your dish just before serving to keep them crispy.
You can sprinkle on any savoury dish which needs a bit of crispy onion flavour. Soup, fried rice, fried egg, hotdogs etc
